In the first quarter of 2024, Yiwu's livestreaming commerce skyrocketed, with over 190,000 sessions generating a staggering 12.75 billion yuan ($1.76 billion) in sales. This represented a significant increase from the previous year, with a 33.57-percent rise in sessions and a 26.25-percent boost in revenue.

The city's infrastructure now includes over 70 livestreaming service organizations and over 3,000 internet celebrity broadcasters, supported by a workforce of over 80,000 industry professionals.
