Yiwu, Morocco promote economic collaboration

Wang Jian, Party secretary of Yiwu, led a delegation to Morocco for an economic mission, culminating in the China (Yiwu) - Morocco Economic and Trade Docking Meeting in Casablanca.
The event, held on May 15, signified a strengthening of ties under the Belt and Road Initiative, with both regions eager to expand their economic and trade relations.
The meeting was also attended by notable figures including Zheng Wei of the Chinese Embassy in Morocco, and Ahmed Afilal from the Casablanca City Council.
Wang thanked the Chinese Embassy and Moroccan leaders for their support of Yiwu's development and emphasized the frequent interactions and deepening exchanges between Yiwu and Morocco, highlighting Morocco as a key trade partner.
Wang invited Moroccan businesses to explore opportunities in Yiwu, aiming to deepen cooperation across trade, investment, and exhibitions.
The event, supported by the Chinese Embassy and hosted by Yiwu's government, saw 20 industry leaders from Yiwu engage with nearly 100 Moroccan business representatives, leading to new trade orders and the signing of three cooperation projects.
