Xiuzhou district in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, has rolled out 11 measures to support companies who decide to resume operations amid the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak, according to local market supervision bureau on Feb 12.

Food companies involved in grain processing and the production of beans and and cooking oil will be exempt from on-site verification if they promise no changes to their production conditions.

The medical certificate held by food processing workers will be extended to 90 days after the first level emergency response is dismissed if the certificate expired after Jan 23, 2020.

Catering companies are encouraged to launch online stores and delivery services to meet the demands of local residents and companies that have resumed operations. They are also encouraged to offer no-contact delivery services to reduce the risk of novel coronavirus transmission.

Business licenses for special equipment manufacturers and inspection agencies can be extended to one year if they have been expired for no more than six months.

The inspection of special equipment can be postponed after submitting a written application report.

Small and medium-sized companies who are in dire need of capital are encouraged to pledge their trademark or patent rights for financial support from banks.

The Xiuzhou market supervision bureau will help local companies apply for certificates of force majeure if they cannot fulfill contracts as scheduled due to the epidemic.

The bureau will also crack down on any infringement of the rights and interests of local companies as well as any assault on fair competition.
