Nanhu Revolutionary Memorial Hall in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province released its commemorative postmark on April 16 to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), local media reported.

A day before the postmark's release in Jiaxing, the Site of the first National Congress of the CPC in Shanghai launched the first commemorative postmark for the CPC's anniversary.

The Jiaxing's postmark is printed with a picture of the Red Boat, which is berthing on Nanhu Lake where the CPC's first National Congress was convened in 1921.

By scanning the QR code on the left side of the postmark, one can watch a video about the host venue of the CPC's first National Congress changing from Shanghai to Jiaxing.

Fans of postmarks came to Jiaxing from Shanghai, as well as Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces for the commemorative postmark. One of them was a senior collector of colorful postmarks surnamed Zhou.

"It took me three hours to affix the first commemorative postmark to my postcard in Shanghai yesterday and today I came to Jiaxing for the second commemorative postmark," said Zhou, who is from Shanghai.

Established in 1959, the Nanhu Revolutionary Memorial Hall is dedicated to managing the site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in Jiaxing.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC and as the Party's birthplace, Jiaxing is expected to organize a variety of celebrations, including relay races, cultural performances, and exhibitions.
