Jiaxing residents' income sees steady growth
The per capita disposable income of rural residents in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province continued to rank first in the province in the first quarter, and the urban-rural gap remained the smallest in the province, according to a survey conducted by the Jiaxing investigation team of the National Bureau of Statistics.
The per capita disposable income of all residents in the city was 20,001 yuan ($2,903), ranking fifth in the province.
The per capita disposable income of rural residents in the city in the first quarter was 15,851 yuan, up 4.9 percent year-on-year and the highest among the 11 cities in the province. The per capita disposable income of urban residents was 22,406 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3 percent and ranking eighth in the province.
