The first Jiaxing-Taiwan tennis exchange tournament was held on July 4 at Jiaxing International Tennis Center in East China's Zhejiang province, bringing together 60 players from six teams across the Chinese mainland and Taiwan.

The event featured three teams from Taiwan, representing Taipei, Taichung, and Chiayi-Tainan, and three teams from Jiaxing's Nanhu district, with players competing in group matches and knockout rounds throughout the day.

Taiwan has a long history of tennis development, with broad participation across age groups and high standards of competition. Nanhu has also expanded its tennis infrastructure and training capacity in recent years, including the establishment of the Ferrero Tennis Academy Yangtze River Delta Center.

Players from both sides competed in close matches while exchanging skills and building friendships. Player Sun Zhiwei from Taiwan said his first visit to Jiaxing left a strong impression, praising the city's tennis facilities and the passion of local enthusiasts.

The event also marked the launch of a new platform for ongoing sports exchanges, with future activities including more reciprocal visits and tournaments to further strengthen ties between tennis communities in Jiaxing and Taiwan.
