Liandu district in Lishui, East China's Zhejiang province, held a promotion campaign for its spring tourism season on April 14 and 15. During the event, the district launched tourism vouchers worth a total of one million yuan ($141,364), local media reported.

"The impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on the tourism industry is severe, but it is also temporary. The huge demand for tourism consumption remains unchanged," said an official of Lishui culture, radio, TV, tourism and sports bureau.

To promote Lishui's culture and tourism market, the city issued practical measures to guide the orderly opening of the city's scenic spots and promote the gradual resumption of cultural and tourism projects.

The measures include free admission to A-level scenic spots, subsidies for various things, including special tourist trains, for travel agencies to attract tourists, for the application of "contactless" tourism services, and for partial energy consumption during the epidemic in star-rated hotels and homestays.
