The Lishui guci is a form of "storytelling" performed in Liandu district, Jinyun, Yunhe, Songyang, Jingning and Qingtian counties under the jurisdiction of Lishui in southwest Zhejiang province. It is named "Lishui Guci" because a drum, called gu in Pinyin, is the main accompanying musical instrument.

The Lishui guci is performed in the Lishui dialect. Its basic tune is the "Lishui guci tune". It is usually performed by one person beating the drum and a board.

The Lishui guci was listed in the fourth group of national representative intangible cultural heritages in 2014.

To preserve the heritage, Liandu district began census taking and registration in 2010, and has now basically established a filing system for Lishui guci performers. The district also supported representative inheritors to carry out inheritance training and teaching, and collected and produced video data of traditional Lushui guci elements.
