Lishui sees steady growth in consumption

Data from the municipal statistical bureau show that from January to November 2019, the total retail sales of consumer goods in Lishui, East China's Zhejiang province, reached 66.83 billion yuan ($9.55 billion), an increase of 9.4 percent year-on-year.

Statistics show that Lishui's "intelligent" consumption is advancing by leaps and bounds. With the debut of 5G, the new consumption pattern represented by the internet and digital informatization is taking shape rapidly.

From January to November, retail sales of wearable smart devices and smart phones of legal enterprises above the quota (the total annual sales amount is more than five million yuan, and there are more than 60 employees at the end of the year) in the city reached 4.06 million yuan and 8.98 million yuan, up by 145.9 percent and 75.9 percent year-on-year.

At the same time, with improvements in residents' living standards, a booming new consumption field has been formed around the demand for beauty.

From January to November, the retail sales of shoes and hats and cosmetics of legal enterprises above the quota reached 158.26 million yuan and 56.19 million yuan, up by 211 percent and 31.2 percent year-on-year.
