During the current novel coronavirus outbreak, Songyang county in Lishui, East China's Zhejiang province, has been issuing three kinds of work card to local tea workers recently: a white card is tea field work, pink is for processing work, and red is for purchasing fresh tea leaves.

Tea is the pillar industry of Songyang's agricultural sector, and 50 percent of the local farmers' income comes from tea. The quality of the spring tea harvest determines the amount of annual production.

At present, early spring tea is about to be harvested. Under the premise of ensuring epidemic prevention and control, Songyang is taking personnel control as the main line to ensure the smooth picking of spring tea, and is promoting the orderly production and marketing of spring tea.

Facing a shortage of tea pickers, Songyang is encouraging local people who are at home and in good health to join the tea picking. All tea workers in Songyang are required to declare their health status in detail, sign the pledge of epidemic prevention and register with their real names.

Also, Songyang has set up special funds for online brand building of Songyang tea and built an online market platform to expand online transactions.
