Streamlined tax refund process helps export enterprises in Lishui
In order to maximize the efficiency of tax refunds and ease the financial pressure on export enterprises, the taxation bureau of Lishui Economic and Technological Development Zone handled 153 export tax rebates in February and March 2020, with total tax refunds of 21.73 million yuan ($3.07 million), local media reported.
Affected by the COVID-19 outbreak, export enterprises in Lishui Economic and Technological Development Zone are confronted with capital shortages, default compensation, customer loss and other difficulties. These enterprises need urgent help to restore normal operations, officials have said.
The zone's taxation bureau is adopting "contactless" methods such as official apps, WeChat and mail services to help enterprises handle tax refunds. By April 19, the bureau had provided service to 253 enterprises and answered more than 280 questions about tax refunds.
Besides, to improve the tax refund efficiency, the tax bureau has further optimized refund procedures during the epidemic period by relying on the big data platform.
"It only took us one and a half days to get our tax refund this time," said the head of a local enterprise. "Thanks to the tax bureau for its help and support for our resumption of work and production."
