Lishui procuratorate supports Baishanzu National Park construction
To implement the deployment of Lishui Municipal Government on building Baishanzu National Park, Lishui People's Procuratorate issued the "Opinions on the Judicial Escort of the Establishment of Baishanzu National Park" (hereinafter referred to as the Opinions) recently.
The Opinions protects the construction of Baishanzu National Park with judicial force, and helps Lishui become an "important window" for comprehensively displaying the achievements and experiences of Zhejiang's construction of a high-level ecological civilization and high-quality green development.
The Opinions makes it clear that all kinds of crimes of damaging wild animals, plants and resources in the core area of Baishanzu National Park will be punished. The harshest penalties within the legal range will be proposed for cases that harm rare and endangered wild animals such as the Cabot's Tragopan pheasant, the black muntjac, the Chinese giant salamander, and plants under State protection such as the Abies beshanzuensis and Taxus wallichiana.
The Opinions also puts forward targeted special actions for legal supervision, including legal supervision of criminal proceedings against crimes committed in the national park.
