More than 80 enterprises signed an ecological credit commitment letter at a promotion event for ecological credit held in Lishui Economic and Technological Development Zone on June 15.

Lishui, in East China's Zhejiang province, issued the Lishui Enterprise Ecological Credit Evaluation Management Measures (Demo) in March 2020. Enterprises under the supervision of ecological and environmental departments, enterprises in heavily polluting industries and those in industries with severe overcapacity, and agricultural production and operation entities above designated size will be evaluated.

The zone is a highland of industrial development in Lishui, and many enterprises there have been in critical stages of transformation and upgrading in recent years.

According to officials, the introduction of ecological credit will encourage local enterprises to pay attention to the environment, ecological management, green production, ecological culture and social responsibility, and will further promote the city's high-quality green development.
