Longquan, Qingyuan join forces on cultural events, tourism
Longquan, a county-level city, and Qingyuan county – both administered by Lishui prefecture-level city in East China's Zhejiang province – recently joined forces to boost their cultural events and tourism, local officials said.
Officials said they signed a memorandum and other undertakings to jointly develop cooperation platforms based on their respective resources, in a bid to improve their attractiveness to tourists in handicrafts, intangible cultural heritage and other related endeavors.
In order to implement the memorandum, Longquan and Qingyuan will set up a body to jointly explore ideas for regional cooperation and to discuss major projects.
Officials said the two sides will further develop new tourism marketing ventures and establish a tourism marketing mechanism that promotes both areas.
