Songyang recognized nationally for its tourism

Songyang county in Lishui, located in East China's Zhejiang province, was listed on Dec 17 in the second batch of China's demonstration areas for all-in-one integrated tourism, according to a release issued by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Relying on its special local agricultural and cultural resources, Songyang has been busy creating new businesses ventures and tourism products in recent years.

Local officials said that since 2016, the total revenue generated by local tourism in Songyang has increased three times, reaching 5.51 billion yuan ($842.64 million) at present and the added value of the tourism industry accounted for 9.59 percent of local GDP.

To date, the county has established one national-level water conservation scenic spot, two national 4A-level scenic spots, four national 3A-level scenic spots and it has developed more than 380 rural homestay facilities.
