The Jiangnan Skyrace – a cross-country running race held annually in Longquan – a county-level city administered by Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province – numbered among the Top 10 Most Influential Domestic Cross-Country Races singled out by China's outdoor adventure magazine OUTDOOR recently.

In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the domestic cross-country running season was only half a year long, but nonetheless many high-quality races were held successfully and the Jiangnan Skyrace was one of them.

Longquan has a long cultural history, superb environment, beautiful landscape and wonderful mountain resources. An extra plus is that it has all the crazy elements for extreme off-road events.

The Jiangnan Skyrace is famous for its altitude, which climbs over 10,000 meters and the completion rate for the 100-kilometer race last year was only 29.5 percent.

This year's Jiangnan Skyrace is scheduled to kick off on Oct 16. Registration for the event opened on Jan 27.
