The 2021 Zhejiang Provincial Government Work Report, released at the opening ceremony of the fifth session of the 13th Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress on Jan 26 – in the capital city of Hangzhou – summarized the major achievements of the province in East China during the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20) period.

Deputies to the congress from Lishui city conducted spirited discussions about the government work report, agreeing that was a practical document that cogently provided the development blueprint for the upcoming years.

"This is a good report that unites and inspires people," said Deputy Chen Rongchang. He said that the integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial upgrades referred to in the report was good news for the development of high-tech industries in the city.

Deputy Wang Wu said that this year's report was impressive and inspiring. He said that as a representative of the arts and crafts industry, he would continue to devote himself to the protection, inheritance, innovation and development of Lishui's celadon ceramics industry.

Deputy Hu Hongfang said that agriculture was a major driver for the coordinated promotion of new urbanization and rural revitalization. She also suggested policies be introduced specifically for college graduates to start their own businesses in the agricultural sector.
