Spring Festival travel rush begins in Lishui

China's 2021 Spring Festival travel season began on Jan 28 and will run to March 8, according to the Ministry of Transport.

Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province is expected to see about 3.82 million passenger trips during the 40-day travel peak this year, up about 86.73 percent year-on-year, the city's transport bureau announced.

This year, transport operators have tightened up their measures to prevent the resurgence of COVID-19 cases and provide a better service to passengers.

"In addition to issuing safety information and epidemic prevention and control pamphlets to passengers, we have also prepared disinfectant wipes for passengers," said Zhou Jingjing, an official from the municipal transport comprehensive administrative law enforcement team.

Lishui Railway Station has set up a nucleic acid sampling site at the exit of the station. Passengers who come to Lishui from outside the province and who do not have a negative nucleic acid test results can get free nucleic acid sampling there.
