Wuniuzao spring tea is now in harvest season in Zhucun village, Shitang township in Yunhe county -- administered by Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province -- and the local farm hands are in the thick of picking the verdant leaves.

Wuniuzao is an early spring tea and the harvesting lasts for more than a month. At present, the tea commands prices of up to 120-160 yuan ($18.51-24.69) per kilogram.

Zhucun village has a total of 2,200 hectares of tea under cultivation, with an annual output value of 150 million yuan.

In recent years, Shitang township has been focusing on the development of the tea industry to raise the incomes of its local farmers.
