Lishui seeks further development of tourism industry
Lishui in East China's Zhejiang province is seeking to become a more modernized and international tourism city by promoting its tourism industry to a higher level, according to a regulation that started operation from March 1.
The document stated that by 2025, the added value of the city's tourism sector is expected to reach 22 billion yuan ($3.382 billion), accounting for about 10 percent of the regional GDP. Lishui aims to build itself into a national demonstration city in all-for-one tourism, as well as create a new national 5A-level scenic spot and a national resort in five years.
With the goal of becoming a top-notch eco-tourism city, Lishui will work to improve infrastructure and services, as well as promote regional coordination in neighboring areas.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), Lishui will make efforts to attract more than 50 billion yuan in tourism investment and focus on the construction of 10 key tourist attractions.
