A cloud event and international video conference – on the rolling components and the industrial robot industries – was jointly held on April 12 by the giant Hannover Messe industrial trade fair in Germany and the Lishui Economic and Technological Development Zone, located in Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province.
The Hannover Messe – held on the Hannover Fairground in the city of Hannover in Germany – is one of the world's leading trade fairs for industrial technology. This year's ongoing fair runs to April 16.
During the April 12 cloud event, Lishui Mayor Wu Xiaodong gave a presentation on Lishui's business environment and industrial development.
"We look forward to using this event as an opportunity to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Germany in technology, industrial projects and talent," Wu said.
On the other side of the video link in Germany, Berend Lindner – State Secretary of the Lower Saxony Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labor, Transport and Digitalization – said that he looked forward to further cooperation between the state of Lower Saxony and Lishui.
Increasing commercial links between the two sides is seen as a top priority by many. "Lishui is a good place for investment and entrepreneurship," said Siegfried Vogelsang, president of GFBM, the co-organizers of the cloud event.
Vogelsang added that the event showed there was a lot of potential for discussion and cooperation between China and Germany in the rolling components and industrial robot sectors.

More than 50 European enterprises from Germany, Switzerland, Spain and other countries participated in the event. German's GEA Group introduced the company's main products and its future vision and expressed a strong willingness to cooperate with Lishui.
Leading companies in the rolling components and industrial robot industry in Lishui – including SHAC Motion Technology Co Ltd, Lishui Jingrui Bearing Manufacturing Co Ltd and Zhejiang Zhuoqiu Transmission Technology Co Ltd – listened and gave their points of view at the session.
"Through the Hannover Messe industrial trade fair, we can enhance our understanding of potential demand in the international market and promote our products," said Zhao Chenyang, general manager of Lishui Jingrui Bearing Manufacturing Co Ltd.
The Lishui Economic and Technological Development Zone began developing its rolling components industry in the 1980s.
Through years of development, the sector in Lishui has expanded to now occupy a market share of about 30 percent of the middle and high-end market – with 40 percent of the industrial capacity and a 50 percent share of the middle and low-end market in China.
