Jinyun county – administered by Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province – was named a leading Sports and Leisure Tourism Destination in China at the 4th International Tourism Conference, which was held on April 24 in Changzhi city, in Shanxi province.

Jinyun has vigorously implemented a strategy of rural revitalization. On the basis of its existing tourism resources, combined with its hot spots that astutely ride the current tourism market trends, the county has fully tapped its mountain and outdoor sports resources and achieved great results in the development of leisure tourism.

To date, Jinyun has developed at least 50 classic tourism routes and has built a mountain/hillside water slide, an off-road vehicle course and Lishui's first paragliding center, among other leisure and tourism projects.

Among these is the 2,723.08-meter-long Puhuayuan Mountain water slide – which won Guinness World Records certification as the longest mountain/hillside water slide in July 2019.

Jinyun has also achieved major results in terms of staging large-scale leisure tourism activities, such as the Xiandu International Half Marathon.
