The 5th Lishui Sports Meeting, a major local sports carnival in Lishui city – located in East China's Zhejiang province – will be held there from July right through to October, local media reported recently.

The competition is divided into the general sports events and the competitive sports events.

It is estimated that about 8,000 people will compete in the track and field, swimming, football, table tennis, volleyball and other sporting events for a total of 839 gold medals.
