Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province is nowadays making full use of its mobile hospital service launched in 2018, to travel and treat folks in all the remote areas in particular – providing villagers there with an invaluable one-stop medical service.

To date, the service has reportedly completed city-wide coverage with its mobile vehicles.

This year, Lishui upgraded its roaming diagnosis and treatment services, using digital means to perfect facilities and optimize its management system.

Doctors are now able to retrieve the patient's health record, medical records and other information in the diagnosis and treatment vehicle. The mobile hospital provides 5G telecommunications, which allows online consultations to be made.

"According to the current data collected by the mobile vehicles, we find that hypertension and diabetes are frequently-occurring types of disease," said a member of staff with the Lishui Health Commission.

"Moving forwards, we will assign additional specialists to participate in the treatments based on customer needs."

In addition, the vehicles have also provided targeted basic public health services such as health education and disease control.

At the end of July, no sooner did the health department of Qingtian county learn from data analysis that people in the remote mountainous areas had urgent need of vaccinations than the county's itinerant vehicles were dispatched there.

Statistics showed that in the first half of this year, 46 mobile diagnosis and treatment vehicles in Lishui provided a total of 7,451 medical services in the villages.
