The Zhejiang Administration for Market Regulation recently announced that more than 90 percent of the province's large supermarket chain stores will use Zheshilian, a digital food tracing system, by the end of this year.

Launched in Zhejiang on March 15, Zheshilian allows consumers and market supervisors to view a product's delivery inspection report, sample survey, quality certificate, disinfection certificate, and other information simply by scanning QR codes printed on the package.

To date, Zheshilian has been adopted by 12,544 registered business entities in Zhejiang, of which 5,497 are manufacturers or sellers of edible agriculture products and 7,047 are logistics enterprises.
