Zhejiang seeks to expand intl influence

The 2021 Fortune Global 500 Summit opened in Hangzhou, capital city of East China's Zhejiang province, on Oct 19.
The summit, which took place online and offline, was attended by top managers from Global Fortune 500 enterprises including Cisco, Johnson & Johnson, Amazon, General Electric, and Pfizer.
By hosting the summit, Zhejiang aimed to promote its business environment and showcase its achievements in high-quality development, especially its achievements in digital economy and digital reform, and thus expand its international influence.
Some of the participating companies will visit local districts and counties to seek cooperation opportunities on the following day.
Yuan Jiajun, Party secretary of Zhejiang, met with entrepreneurs of the Fortune Global 500 companies and other important guests of the 2021 Fortune Global 500 Summit on Oct 18, thanking them for their support of the economic and social development in Zhejiang.
He said that Fortune Global 500 companies have contributed much to the province's reform and development and the improvement of its business environment.
The Party secretary pledged that Zhejiang will continue offering efficient services to companies, especially Fortune Global 500 companies, and support them in their operations.
There are eight Zhejiang companies on the latest Global Fortune 500 list, including three newly-shortlisted companies – Zhejiang Rongsheng Holding Group, Hengyi Petrochemical Co Ltd, and Zhejiang Communications Investment Group Co Ltd.
