With the participation of more than 2,800 brands from home and abroad, the second China International Consumer Products Expo wound up in Haikou city – capital of South China's Hainan province – on July 30.

The expo, with exhibitors from 61 countries and regions, attracted more than 280,000 visits and launched more than 600 products from over 200 brands.

Qingtian county – administered by Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province – participated, becoming the first county-level exhibitor at the expo.

The Qingtian pavilion covered 200 square meters, with 15 local foreign trade enterprises bringing more than 1,000 imported products from Italy, Spain, France and other countries.

During the expo, its enterprises recorded total transactions worth 2.27 million yuan ($336,029) and additionally signed up 11.54 million yuan in orders.

Qingtian is also known for its imported commodities, because the county is the hometown of 330,000 overseas Chinese. In fact, it's prioritized calling them back and in recent years has issued a series of policies supporting their return and enabling them to start up their own businesses there.

Furthermore, the county has been expanding sales channels for its foreign trading businesses by opening up stores all over the country and helping them participate in various expos.
