Suichang Folk Museum

The art of Caihe facial makeup originated 500 years ago and it has a complete system, with intricate and immensely colorful patterns. The museum houses many Caihe facial makeup pieces that enable visitors to gain a deep understanding of the local culture.

Suichang Tang Xianzu Memorial Hall

Suichang county is where Tang Xianzu, known as the Shakespeare of the Orient, wrote his masterpiece The Peony Pavilion – one of China's Kunqu Opera classics – some 400 years ago during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The memorial hall focuses on Tang Xianzu's achievements during his political career in Suichang and his artistic works.
