East China's Zhejiang province recently released the sixth batch of provincial-level intangible cultural heritage items, which include 10 items from the region's Lishui city. To date, the number of provincial intangible cultural heritage items in Lishui has reached 114.

The 10 intangible cultural heritage items cover four categories – traditional sports, entertainment and acrobatics, traditional arts, traditional medicine and folk customs.

Lishui is said to have made remarkable achievements in surveying intangible cultural heritage projects in its area. The city now has three projects on the UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. It is also home to 21 national-level intangible cultural heritage items.

In order to better protect and pass on intangible cultural heritage, Lishui has carried out various promotions in the city's popular destinations, rural areas, as well as in schools.

Many of the city's intangible cultural heritage items – such as Longquan celadon ceramics and Qingtian stone carving – have made appearances in international exhibitions.
