As China's COVID-19 pandemic control measures continue to improve, Suichang county – administered by Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province – is actively encouraging and supporting its local enterprises to go global.

It wants them to expand their overseas markets in order to lay the foundations for a good start to the year.

Recently, Ying Ying, the foreign trade manager of Evercos Battery Co Ltd, returned from the Intersolar North America exhibition in California and brought back a framework agreement worth $20 million.

Ying said that bringing back orders is just the first step. The most important thing was to complete the framework agreement with high quality and quantity and strive for more orders in the future, he added.

Evercos Battery is just a microcosm of Suichang's foreign trade enterprises going global to seize orders.

According to officials, Suichang will fully support its enterprises participating in overseas exhibitions to expand markets. A 70 percent subsidy will be given towards the cost of renting a stand at overseas exhibitions and a subsidy of up to 10,000 yuan ($1,451) will be provided for transportation and accommodation expenses.
