The third China International Consumer Products Expo, or CICPE, opened on April 10 in Haikou – capital of South China's Hainan province – attracting more than 3,000 brands from over 60 countries and regions.

The Qingtian county delegation – from Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province – has participated in the expo for three consecutive years and it  brought along hundreds of goods that it had imported.

The CICPE, themed "Share Open Opportunities, Co-create a Better Life", is China's first national-level expo focusing on consumer products.

It is also the largest consumer products expo in the Asia-Pacific region. It aims to help boost the consumer recovery and upgrading and provide opportunities for enterprises from various countries to participate in the Chinese market.

This year, the Qingtian delegation consisted of 16 high-quality import enterprises, showcasing hundreds of imported products, such as wine, coffee, ham and chocolate.

The products came from more than 10 countries and regions such as France, Italy and Spain. Qingtian set up a pavilion, covering an area of more than 200 square meters and installed 18 booths.

In less than two days, the Qingtian delegation completed nearly 1,000 transactions worth more than 200,000 yuan ($29,096).

The organizers say the expo will run to April 15.
