Bamboo-themed art festival kicks off in Songyang county

A bamboo art festival opened in Hengkeng village, Yecun township of Songyang county in Lishui city, East China's Zhejiang province on May 18.
The festival, which will last until Oct 18, features 359 works, including more than 200 photography works and nine outdoor installations, by artists from across the country.
Featuring a combination of local characteristic folk culture and the natural landscapes of bamboo forests, the festival aims to showcase the beauty and diversity of bamboo art, which uses bamboo to create works that reflect the tranquility of the countryside.
The festival also seeks to beautify public spaces with bamboo art installations.
