A group of 33 expats from 12 countries recently participated in a workshop on bamboo industry and green economy development in developing countries in Chongtou town, Yunhe county, which is administered by Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province.

The expats visited the Yunhe Terrace scenic area, which has the largest terrace cluster in East China, and the local wooden toy industry exhibition hall. They also joined a local summer party where they did fishing and swam in the water.

"I had fun here. This is my first catching fish and I feel the joy of country life. The locals' enthusiasm also impressed me a lot," said Shashwot Khadka from Nepal.

Yunhe county has in recent years been striving to protect its ecosystems and promote the economy. By accelerating the valuation of forestry ecological products, the county has achieved remarkable results in improving the ecological environment and developing profitable industries, according to a county official.
