Lishui mayor visits three countries to boost cooperation

Wu Shunze, mayor of Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province, led a delegation to visit Malaysia, Singapore and Japan to enhance foreign economic and trade cooperation from June 27 to July 6.

During their stay in Malaysia, the delegation held talks with Peakmi Technology Group, a global leader in chip packaging, testing and modern module factories. Wu welcomed the group to make investments in Lishui and said he is looking forward to more extensive and in-depth cooperation between the two sides.

In Singapore, the delegation visited the headquarters of Mirxes Pte Ltd, a high-tech biotechnology company specializing in microRNA technology and early disease diagnosis. Wu invited the company to establish its global production headquarters in Lishui and pledged to offer high-quality services to aid the company's projects.

In Japan, the delegation visited Ferrotec, Shibaura Machinery and Ohizumi, which are partners of CCMC, a semiconductor company that has invested in Lishui. Wu said that the semiconductor industry is the core industry in Lishui and that he hopes both sides could expand cooperation in this field. He also welcomed more high-quality semiconductor projects to enter Lishui.

The delegation also met with Toyooka Takeshi, mayor of Mishima city in Japan, which has been a sister city of Lishui since 1997. Wu expressed hope that both sides could resume normal exchanges and cooperation in various fields such as industrial development, cultural exchange, urban construction and education collaboration.
