The World Terraces Museum, a new attraction at the Yunhe Terraces Scenic Spot in Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province, showcases the rich culture and history of terraces, which are a remarkable example of how humans can transform and live in harmony with nature.

The museum spans about 1,200 square meters and features three thematic sections. The first section introduces the concept, types, history, and construction methods of terraces. The second section depicts the landscape, lifestyle, and culture of Yunhe terraces, which are known as the most beautiful terraces in China. The third section explores the challenges and opportunities for the preservation and development of terraces in the modern era.

The museum combines elements like sand table models, videos, and games, with storytelling and cultural creativity, and aims to provide an immersive and educational experience for tourists who want to learn more about the terraces.

According to the person in charge of Yunhe Terraces Scenic Spot, the World Terraces Museum not only adds fun and diversity to the site, but also enhances its cultural value. It also serves as a medium for tourists to appreciate and understand the beauty and significance of terraces in China and beyond.
