Wang Jingsa, a 20-year-old sailor from Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province, and her partner Dong Wenju clinched the silver medal in the mixed sailing 470 class event at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou on Sept 27.

Wang, who hails from Jingning She autonomous county, started sailing at the age of 12 and joined the Zhejiang provincial sailing team at the age of 16. She has won several national and international titles in the past few years, including two gold medals in the mixed sailing 470 class U21 at the National Sailing Championship this year.

Wang said she loves sailing because it allows her to breathe in the fresh sea air every day.

Wang's former coach Zhou Chengjian, who trained her in rowing before she switched to sailing, said he was proud of her achievement and hoped she would continue to improve and pursue her dream of representing China in more international competitions.
