The first batch of overseas wines for the 5th Overseas Chinese Imported Commodities Expo arrived at the bonded warehouse in Qingtian county – in Lishui city, in East China's Zhejiang province – on Oct 12.

The expo, along with the Qingtian Imported Wine Trade Fair and the 3rd International Coffee Expo, will be held at Qingtian Imported Commodity City on Nov 12-15.

A container from Ningbo Port drove into the warehouse at 11 am, where staff unloaded and stored more than 700 wine samples from nearly 70 wineries in nearly 20 regions in Italy.

Six more batches of exhibits from countries such as Spain, Italy and Austria will arrive in Qingtian on Oct 20-30.

Lishui Customs has provided strong technical support and service guarantees for the smooth clearance of imported goods for the exhibition.

"There are more types of exhibits for this year's expo than in previous years," said Zhu Weihao, chief of inspection section four of Lishui Customs.

"We have optimized the customs clearance plan and opened up channels for appointment clearances and priority inspections, to facilitate the timely arrival and clearance of our goods in Qingtian and ensure that all exhibits can participate in the exhibition on time," Zhu added.
