The Guyan Huaxiang Scenic Spot in Liandu district, Lishui, Zhejiang province, known as the birthplace of "Lishui's Barbizon School", recently welcomed an international collection of European classical landscape oil paintings.

The paintings are on display at the exhibition themed "Scenery from Another Place" within the Guyan Huaxiang Scenic Spot, sparking an international and trendy artistic collision.

The exhibition features a total of over 30 renowned European artworks from countries such as the United Kingdom and France, including works by the French Barbizon School artists Constant Troyon and Jules Dupre, and Henry Bright, an English artist hailing from the Norwich School.

Focusing on European classical landscape oil paintings, the exhibition has not only allowed many art enthusiasts to gain a deeper understanding of the classical European rural life hidden within the artworks, but also promoted international artistic exchange in Lishui.

The exhibition enables visitors to appreciate "scenery from another place" through the traditional medium of oil painting. These paintings have become a window for visitors to experience a landscape culture that transcends geographical and historical boundaries.

Open to the public since Dec 25 of last year, the exhibition will run until Feb 25.
