Lishui sees prosperity in consumption market during Spring Festival
During the Spring Festival holiday, Lishui in Zhejiang province saw approximately 2.34 billion yuan ($325.09 million) of consumption, with around 1.87 billion yuan in retail, catering, accommodation, and entertainment.
Particularly, consumption in accommodation, catering, and entertainment experienced rapid growth, increasing 57.59 percent, 262.22 percent, and 67.23 percent, respectively.
Shopping malls and supermarkets in Lishui carried out a variety of pro-consumption activities during the Spring Festival, integrating traditional Chinese cultural themes such as the "Chinese dragon" and "welcoming the God of Wealth" to stimulate new demand.
The city also provided consumption vouchers for automobiles, with car dealers carrying out various promotional activities. As of Feb 17, 1,732 vehicles had been sold, generating sales of 269 million yuan.
Seventy-two supermarkets, restaurants, and other businesses joined an online platform, jointly offering vouchers and discounts, directly driving sales of over 500,000 yuan.
To meet the shopping needs of citizens during the Spring Festival, supermarkets and shopping malls in Lishui prepared various goods in advance, ensuring sufficient quantity and stable prices.
