Longquan's Xidu Line was recently recognized as one of China's top 10 most beautiful rural roads of 2023, the only road in Zhejiang province to receive the honor this year.

The 47.87-kilometer Xidu Line, connecting historical and scenic spots, offers travelers a rich tapestry of experiences, from the natural beauty of the seasons to the cultural charm of rural life. Recent enhancements along the route include picturesque spots and convenient facilities like parking areas and cycling stations, making it a haven for tourists and nature enthusiasts alike.

The road's popularity has spurred the growth of rural tourism and eco-agriculture, invigorating the local economy. The Yunshui Parent-Child Manor, for instance, is a testament to this development, drawing thousands of visitors on weekends and holidays.

The surrounding area of the Xidu Line is now bustling with homestays and agritainment options, attracting over 300,000 visitors annually and generating 20 million yuan ($2.76 million) in revenue. Agricultural tourism bases along the route have seen impressive yields, contributing to both local employment and collective income.

Longquan's strategic use of the road has led to the development of outdoor leisure activities, including a provincial-level cycling event and walking events, showcasing the region's commitment to sustainable development.
