A delegation from Shuge Cultural and Art Center in Suichang county, Lishui, Zhejiang province visited the Confucius Institute at the University of Novi Sad in Serbia on May 26, local time, as part of an overseas study tour.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of this Confucius Institute. The visiting 19-member delegation consisted of an intangible cultural heritage group and youth enterprise representatives, aiming to showcase Suichang's cultural richness and promote Chinese traditional arts such as Suichang's opera, Lishui's photography and calligraphy, and China's tea culture.

"We hope that more and more Serbian people can get a better understanding of Chinese culture as they learn Chinese language," said Wang Yun, founder of the center.

Since 2017, the center has hosted the overseas study tour 10 times. By building a bridge of friendly exchanges between Chinese and foreign youth, the center hopes to help them experience the unique charm of traditional Chinese culture from the aspects of clothing, food, housing, and travel.

The activities also enable Suichang's excellent culture and tourism products to go out of the country, enhancing the international visibility of Suichang culture.
