A delegation from Spain, consisting of 26 students with four accompanying teachers, began their journey back to Barcelona on July 18 after a nine-day summer camp in Lishui, Zhejiang province.

During their trip, the Spanish students stayed with 25 local families and traveled around Lishui with them. Their visits included the Lishui Museum, the Xiandu scenic area, and the Ancient Weir-Home of Painting (Guyan Huaxiang) scenic area, where they experienced the unique landscapes and customs of Lishui.

Both Spanish and Chinese students engaged in activities such as making dumplings, paper-cutting, and crafting celadon pottery. They also savored local delicacies like rolled pancakes and played football and volleyball together.

From calligraphy to making sachets, crafting fans, and practicing tai chi, these Spanish teenagers, with the help of their Lishui friends, learned various Chinese arts and skills during their stay.

The exchange activity was jointly organized by Lishui and Spain. Since its inception in 2016, nearly 300 students and teachers have participated in the exchanges, building friendships between the youth from the two countries.
