A new hot spring resort in Suichang county in Lishui, Zhejiang province, will open in May 2025, according to local media on Nov 5.
The "Geocentric World", located in Hushan township, has a total investment of 528 million yuan ($74.27 million). The project covers approximately 200,000 square meters of land, with a visitor center spanning about 10,000 square meters. The center will house 66 hotel rooms, a 2,000-square-meter dining area, a 2,700-square-meter commercial area, and additional public leisure spaces.
By overhauling an old underground mining area, the project will integrate the hot spring with art and tourism to create the country's first large-scale tourism complex that combines adventure, health, and mining education.
The floor plan of the geocentric space covers about 16,000 square meters, featuring a 3,500-square-meter hot spring pool area. This area will be divided into eight themed pool chambers and one large family pool.
Additionally, the resort will offer immersive experiences such as underground cave float trips and a cable car, providing visitors with an exciting exploration.
According to Zhou Gaoneng, deputy general manager of Suichang Dixin Hot Spring Co, the entire project is scheduled to open in May 2025.
