The 2024 World Draughts Federation World Cup Tournament and the 9th "Xingqiu Cup" Draughts China Open Tournament concluded in Liandu district, Lishui, Zhejiang province, on Nov 17.

Top draughts players from 10 countries and regions, including the Netherlands, France, and Poland, competed over six days and nine rounds to determine the final rankings in all categories.

Chinese player Zhang You claimed her first championship in the 100-square women's category. In the 100-square U14 boys' category, Chinese players Kuang Chenyi, Shang Zuzhen, and Luo Xianbo swept the top three positions. In the 100-square U14 girls' category, Chinese players Pan Yiran, Luo Zixuan, and Yang Yaqing also secured the top three spots.

The competition featured 10 international grandmasters, including four world champions. The tournament was divided into four categories: 100-square men's, 100-square women's, 100-square U14 boys', and 100-square U14 girls'.

The event is the highest seven-star tournament in the World Draughts Federation's World Cup series and is one of the highest-level international draughts competitions held in China.
