At the 2025 Asian Canoe Confederation Canoe Sprint Asian Championships, Wang Nan, an athlete from Qingyuan county, Lishui, Zhejiang province, claimed double gold in the women's 500-meter and 200-meter single kayak events on May 10.

The 2025 ACC Canoe Sprint Asian Championships kicked off on May 8 in Nanchang, Jiangxi province. The event attracted 280 elite canoeists from 19 countries and regions across Asia, including China, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, and South Korea.

The prestigious championships featured 24 events across men's, women's, and mixed categories, with classifications for both kayaks and canoes. As one of the highest-level canoeing events in Asia, it showcased the continent's top talent.

Wang demonstrated exceptional skill and determination throughout the competition, particularly in the finals of both the women's 500-meter and 200-meter single kayak events.

Already a decorated athlete, Wang has earned numerous national and international accolades. She finished the fifth place in the double kayak event at the 2024 Paris Olympics, marking China's best performance in this category at the Olympics to date.
