Chinese-Belgian Xu Bili honored with French Order of Arts and Letters

In a ceremony at the Tiexi 1905 Cultural and Creative Park in Shenyang, Northeast China's Liaoning province, Xu Bili was awarded the prestigious French Order of Arts and Letters by Consul General Luo Yirui of the Consulate General of France in Shenyang.

Xu has roots in Qingtian county, Lishui, East China's Zhejiang province, and is the founder of the Tiexi 1905 Cultural and Creative Park. This recognition by the French Ministry of Culture acknowledges her outstanding contributions to Sino-French cultural exchanges over more than a decade.

The Order of Arts and Letters is the highest honor bestowed by the French government in the cultural and arts, recognizing individuals of exceptional renown in the arts or literature who have made significant contributions to promoting French and global culture.

Xu is a fourth-generation Chinese descendant born and raised in Mouscron, a small town in Belgium adjacent to Lille, France. Influenced by French culture from a young age, Xu expressed her deep affection for both European and Chinese cultures, highlighting her unique cross-cultural perspective.

Over the past 13 years, she has organized over 100 Sino-French cultural exchange events at the Tiexi 1905 Cultural and Creative Park, collaborating with more than 300 artists and bridging cultural connections between France and Northeast China.
