Paddleboarders gather in Lishui for 2025 SUP Asian Cup

The 2025 Stand Up Paddle Asian Cup took place from July 11 to 13 at Taihe Lake in Qingtian county, Lishui, East China's Zhejiang province.
As the most prestigious and largest paddleboarding event in Asia, it attracted 845 participants from countries and regions including China, Malaysia, India, and Japan, offering a captivating water sports spectacle for the audience.
The event featured several races, including the 200-meter technical race, 1000m technical race, 6000m sprint, 3000m youth race, and the mixed-gender four-person dragon board race.
Participants showcased exceptional talent, impressing the audience with their lightning-fast speeds and fluid paddling techniques, earning rounds of applause from spectators.

In addition to the thrilling competitions, the China Paddleboarding Carnival added a festive atmosphere with a series of engaging activities. Events like solo paddle battles and dragon board tug-of-war allowed professional athletes and amateur paddleboarding fans to compete together, enjoying the unique charm of paddleboarding in a relaxed and joyful setting.
He Kailing, a 15-year-old participant from Malaysia, said that the competition highlighted the prowess of top Asian athletes and allowed her to make many new friends. She hopes to have more opportunities to visit China for exchanges and improve her skills in the future.
