Two enterprises from Qingyuan county of Lishui, Zhejiang province, were recently honored at the Boao Global Ethnic Tea Competition, part of the 2025 Boao Global Ethnic Culture and Tourism Industry Development Conference in Hainan province.

Zhejiang Chuanzhen Agricultural Technology Development secured a Silver Award for its Shoujinya Forest Wild White Tea, while Zhejiang Hechangyu Ecological Agriculture received a Quality Award for its Wild Black Tea.

These awards highlight the growing strength of Qingyuan's wild tea industry. The county now has 17 major wild tea producers, forming a scaled and standardized industrial cluster.

To ensure quality, 11 producers were certified by SGS — a leading global inspection, verification, testing, and certification company — with several others obtaining organic, green, or pollution-free certifications. Additionally, three wild tea bases were recognized as eco-low-carbon tea gardens.

Qingyuan county actively promotes its tea through platforms like annual competitions and online sales via livestreaming. These efforts have significantly raised the tea's profile and market recognition.

Each award reflects Qingyuan's dedication to inheriting and preserving traditional tea-making craftsmanship. This international recognition marks a new starting point for Qingyuan wild tea to share the depth of Chinese tea culture with the world.
