Lishui has achieved significant economic progress over the past five years, with GDP growing by more than 50 billion yuan ($7.08 billion) to exceed 200 billion yuan, and each of its counties boasting a GDP of over 10 billion yuan.

A steadfast commitment to green development has driven this growth, with the city building a modern ecological economy, notably cultivating a specialty semiconductor cluster valued at over 80 billion yuan.

The health industry is also thriving, with 57 major enterprises and strategic partnerships, such as Liandu district's collaboration with Nice Group, aiming to develop beautiful-health industry demonstration zones. Innovation is prioritized, with the Southwest Zhejiang Science and Innovation Industrial Park now operational.

Infrastructure breakthroughs are enhancing connectivity, as the new Lishui Airport, operational since July with 11 domestic routes, now forms a "3-hour national travel circle".

The city is strengthening external links, signing a landmark "development enclave" agreement with Ningbo to integrate into the Yangtze River Delta and attract numerous projects from the region.

Lishui is also utilizing its unique global connections. With 473,000 overseas Chinese, the city actively participates in the Belt and Road Initiative and promotes the return of overseas resources.

Events like the 7th Overseas Chinese Imported Commodity Expo, which featured over 1,100 enterprises, have evolved into multifaceted open platforms, where local products are reaching global markets through cross-border e-commerce.

The city is also vigorously promoting shared prosperity through initiatives such as understory moss planting, which has increased farmers' incomes.

Efforts are being made to upgrade agricultural chains and bridge the urban-rural divide through innovative models like rural operation partners and shared prosperity workshops.

Public services have also improved, with Lishui being recognized as a national model for healthy city construction.
