AR glasses transform a nighttime boat cruise on Taihe Lake in Qingtian county of Lishui, Zhejiang province, into a dynamic cultural journey.

Passengers witness scenes like leaping rice-field fish, historical figures, and bridges transformed into flowing LED screens, encapsulating 1,300 years of local history in a 45-minute trip.

This AR cruise integrates technologies like AR interaction and laser projection with local cultural elements such as stone carving and overseas Chinese heritage. It aims to transform boats from mere transport into immersive cultural spaces.

The project has proven commercially successful, generating direct revenue of 500,000 yuan ($71,358.5) in its first month. It has spurred nighttime economic activity, increasing surrounding businesses' revenue by over 20 percent and forming a complete evening consumption chain.

This project represents a successful integration of tourism, technology, and culture. Future plans include developing a wider range of services centered around the cruise experience to encourage longer stays and boost regional development.
